All the proponents say it will help us in our jobs and make life easier as project managers.
Do we understand AI’s strengths and what it’s good at doing?
Probably not.
So, before you find a bunch of prompts for ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude, let’s see what AI can offer when managing a project.
First, what is AI not good at?
Humans are good at lots of things that AI is not.
We use intuition to solve problems. AI doesn’t have an instinct that something may be wrong or right, hunches, or gut feelings.
Emotional intelligence isn’t in AI’s bag of tricks either — it’s devoid of human emotion. It can mimic human emotion. But, when you need to empathize with your co-workers, AI won’t pat them on the shoulder and say, “It’s okay.”
