I was reading an interview in Forbes about Beth Scanlan who is with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, and this quote caught my eye.

“Don’t postpone joy.”

Beth goes on to explain, “Be strategic about your wealth and carefully think through your cash flow, but stay open-minded to opportunities. At the end of the day, money is just a tool and life is short.”

To common man who can’t afford a private wealth manager — what does could she mean?

Be Strategic

Everyone has heard the phrase “Don’t put your eggs in one basket.”.

This adage applies to life as well as money.

Be diversified and be smart. Make decisions that are impactful and determined when it comes to your assets. Be sure that when you make a move that it’s the best one you can make with the data you are provided. Learn to invest from positions of strength and build your portfolio around these already established beachheads.
