Unless you have been living under a rock in the tech world — you have heard of the crazy unscripted talk called “The Age of AI” the ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt gave at Stanford.
Stanford’s video clip has been made private (aka removed) from YouTube, and only the transcript and a backup copy of the conversation remain on Twitter.

According to Eric, Google was getting its butt kicked by OpenAI in artificial intelligence because their employees actually wanted to see their families.
Google decided that work life balance and going home early and working from home was more important than winning…

Then he continued down this path by torching his old company, Google, by praising startups (Google HQ used to be a garage in Menlo Park).
