8 Reasons Why You Should Be Writing on the Internet

I thought up 8 reasons why I started fumbling about on my keyboard and started blogging on the internet — maybe one of these ideas will spark that flame in you to begin writing online.

1. Do you love reading books? I’ve always loved reading books but I never thought I could write an article, a short story or even a haiku. Writing online is the safest way to explore short and long form formats and see if you have the chops to make yourself into a best selling author.
2. If you need a challenge try writing and posting online for 30 days. It’s a marathon for that time period and if you can sustain it then you know you may have a lot of stories to tell.
3. People on the internet seem to lead more interesting lives than me — so they may inspire you to find your own real life adventure and share it with the internet masses.
4. There is a ton of authors on the interwebs and they can get the creative juices flowing. These mentors can make you feel like you want to break through the clutter and become a more interesting person through blogging.
5. If you have it in you the world needs more people willing to go deep and bring a little piece of themselves to the online world.
