You’re an early adopter — the future is centered on AI, and you want your business to be on the bleeding edge of tech.

Your business would be one of the few that are jumping into the AI pool early.

For every person (or business) that attempts to implement new technology, there are 4 more who won’t immediately jump on the bandwagon.

For bookworms, this is known as the “Diffusion of Innovation,” created by Everett Rogers in 1962. His concept breaks out different groups that are willing to try new ideas — including tech.

According to Rogers, there are 5 groups of individuals.

  • Innovators (2.5%) are the vanguard and are the first to try new ideas.
  • Early Adopters (13.5%) influence others and are open to new things.
  • Early Majority (34%) have a wait-and-see attitude.
  • Late Majority (34%) are hesitant and adopt ideas later than most.
  • Laggards (16%) are just dragged into new tech kicking and screaming.
